Horse Inn

Slightly off the beaten path, the Horse Inn restaurant has spent several generations striving to please its guests in Lancaster. In the early 1920s, the Shaub family renovated the second-floor hayloft into a speakeasy. The original horse stalls were repurposed as booths upstairs where wagon wheel chandeliers adorn the dining room ceiling.

Current owners, Matt and Starla Russell, have preserved its palpable history with updated bar and dining areas, as well as, a menu chock full of local, in-season ingredients to make the Horse Inn a must-visit staple (stable?) in Lancaster's robust dining portfolio. Don't worry; the infamous tenderloin tips on toast remain on the menu.
