City of Welcome Sticker

Our community has been a place of refuge for centuries. From the Quakers and Amish/Mennonites seeking peace and religious freedom in the 1700s, to the robust underground railroad efforts in the 1800s, to the strong, community-supported organizations assisting refugees from around the world today; Lancaster has a tradition of welcome to those who are seeking peace and freedom. It is our hope that we remain a welcoming beacon of light to all who search for it and we honor the Lancastrians working to weave a tapestry of tolerance within our community.
